A Literary Brunch with Mary Berg
Does entertaining feel daunting or overwhelming for you? Join Mary Berg, MasterChef Canada winner, star of Mary's Kitchen Crush, and author of Kitchen Party as she shares her insider tips for stress-free cooking. Whether it's the planning, shopping, cooking, or clean up, during this afternoon brunch, you'll learn how to banish anxiety about preparing food. Guests will be treated to an intimate onstage interview and Q&A with Mary, a copy of the $32 Kitchen Party book, a gift bag courtesy of Bradshaw's, a brunch inspired by some of Mary's favourite recipes, and a meet-and-greet and book signing after the meal!
About the author: MasterChef Canada winner and star of Mary's Kitchen Crush, Mary Berg Mary is a beloved voice of encouragement for all types of home cooks. She's also a cooking expert on CTV's Your Morning, The Social, and The Marilyn Denis Show. After degrees in history, English, and information studies, Mary detoured into a career in insurance for 5 years, before being convinced by her family to audition for MasterChef Canada and ultimately stealing the show! She has since launched her cooking career full time, and never looked back. Mary lives and cooks in Toronto. Her first word was "cheese."

Dayna Manning Morning Light Album&Memoir Release Show
We're headlining the launch of singer-songwriter Dayna Manning's solo CD Morning Light which has a unique collaboration with songwriter Ben Bolt-Martin; Ben wrote the chamber music orchestration to all the songs on Morning Light. We're also featuring Dayna Manning's debut memoir Many Moons!
Enjoy a moving performance and songwriting insights from an exceptional group of musicians: Dayna Manning, Ben Bolt-Martin, Andrew Chung, Laura Chambers, and Derek Conrod.
A 30 minute opening round will be performed by members of Dayna Manning's Folk Army comprised of female singer-songwriters from the Stratford area ages 8-18

About Dayna Manning - Juno-nominated artist Dayna Manning has worked with Sean Ono Lennon and luminary LA-based producer Jim Scott. Manning has performed with Great Big Sea, Spirit of the West, and Radiohead, toured nationally with Burton Cummings and Joe Cocker, and was part of Lilith Fair. Manning is launching her solo CD Morning Light and debuting as an author with her memoir Many Moons.
Ben Bolt-Martin - Ben was the featured performer on a disc of new works entitled “Notes Towards” which was nominated in 2009 for a Juno Award. As a solo performer, his focus is on works for solo cello written for him or by him, often involving electronically “looped” material and spanning a multitude of genres and traditions. Ben performs with the Factory Arts String Quartet and Ensemble of INNERchamber.
Andrew Chung- Andrew Chung is a core member London Symphonia, while also serving as General Manager of the new organization. He also performs regularly with the Hamilton Philharmonic, the Stratford Festival Orchestra, and he is a Creative Director of Nota Bene Baroque Players. Andrew was awarded his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees with Distinction from the Australian Institute of Music while studying under Alice Waten and Sophie Rowell.

Elizabeth Van Den Broeck Exhibition
Elizabeth Van Den Broeck, celebrating her "Creative Process" exhibition is the keeper of Huron County's most beautiful secrets: her way of telling them begins with a camera and a pair of hip waders, often traipsing through the landscape she loves while everyone else is sleeping. An entrepreneurial artist of singular focus, Elizabeth studied Fine Art at Sheridan College and Art History at the University of Toronto, before returning to Goderich to capture the simultaneous tranquility and vitality that she perceives in the landscape of Huron County. In 1992, she opened her own gallery and with her increasing commitments as a business owner, wife, mother and community leader, time spent devoted to the creation of art has been a challenge. Recently Elizabeth began to document her creative process on social media, exploring photography, encaustic, oil, acrylic, pastel and printmaking. Her commitment to beauty in the unassuming reveals a lifelong love and understanding of her homeland, as well as a skill built upon by steady practice, for which she has received many awards. Food Photography and Props Workshop with Terry Manzo
Want to take the ultimate food photo? Whether for your blog or to post your latest meal to Instagram or Facebook, food photographer Terry Manzo will once again be holding a workshop to inspire bloggers, Instagrammers, and those with a great love of photography. While she'll be building on sessions from previous years, attendance at those workshops is not a prerequisite. And tools can be as simple as a pocket camera or a smartphone, so don't be intimidated! Terry will demonstrate simple techniques and inexpensive props to shoot like a pro. Other topics discussed will include composition, lighting, camera angles, and editing apps that will help you to create the perfect image. Feel free to bring some props to the class to get Terry’s advice and perspective.

About Terry Manzo - For thirty years, professional photographer Terry Manzo has been combining unique and compelling perspectives with strong technical skills. A Stratford Chefs School alumna, her photographs appear in Farm to Table and she has exhibited regularly in Ontario and worked on several ambitious social media projects, posting daily or weekly photographs or photographic collages for a year during 2011, 2013, and 2016. She has taught photography courses at Gallery Stratford since 1999, and her commercial work encompasses a broad spectrum from publicity, events, products, concerts, and theatre, to people at work and play.
