Family Concerts: A Celebration of Songs from Favourite Family Films

When you and your family don’t want the spell of the matinée you’ve just seen to vanish quite so quickly, “be our guest” and enjoy 45 minutes of beloved songs performed by a quartet of charming musical artists, familiar to Stratford audiences. Ideas: Trump and After

The Disrupters
In partnership with CBC Radio’s Ideas, a five-part series that explores the roots of modern identity through the ideas of five people who flipped the table of conventional thought.

Trump and After
In the olden days there were rules in geopolitics: leaders weren’t always rocket scientists or even nice, but the big guys didn’t always beat up the little guys; the idea was that everyone was better off if everyone had a slice of the pie. Has the era of Donald Trump thrown all that out the window? What’s the new world diplomatic order?

Panellists:
David Frum, staff writer at The Atlantic, author of Trumpocracy: The Corruption of the American Republic and former speech writer for president George W. Bush
Linda McQuaig, journalist and author of Holding the Bully's Coat: Canada and the U.S. Empire
Bob Rae, 21st Premier of Ontario

Get your books signed! David Frum, Linda McQuaig and Bob Rae will sign copies of their works following the event. We’ll have copies available for purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own.

When:  Saturday Aug. 24th, 2019
Where: Studio Theatre, Stratford
Cost: Various, please consult Stratford Festival website.
