Bicycle Rentals

Traverse the picturesque parklands of Stratford and take in the scenery at your own pace when you rent a bike.  Light lunches are available on the patio. Bicycle rentals include helmet and lock.  Great rates for 2 or more days, please enquire.

Juliet III Cruise Boat Tours

The Tour Boat, running every half hour, is a great way to spend the afternoon on the River. 

There have been a few tour boats over the years spanning from the mid 1800's up to today. Officially their has been the Juliet I, II, and now III, but predating this there has also been a Juliet tour Boat back in the mid 1800's as pictured below. Countless tours have taken place over the years and proudly for more than 50 years the Herr family has carried on this tradition. Come enjoy a relaxing ride down the river and discover why this has been a tradition for many year and many more to come.

Open Kitchen | Get Cooking! | Curries


Add some spice to your meal planning! Learn recipes and the techniques needed to successfully create exquisite regional curry dishes using a variety of curry pastes with Eli Silverthorne. After the cooking is complete, take off your apron and savour the results of your labour with a glass of wine. Curry on! Perfect for the beginner to intermediate home cook.

Safety regulations require students wear closed toe shoes when participating in any cooking class.

This class has a maximum capacity of 14 students.

Classes are for students 16 years and older.

Participants will be provided with an apron and all necessary tools and equipment.

Menus, recipes and instructors are subject to change as required.

Help us help the environment! In the off chance we cook too much, please bring a container with you to help take home any leftovers. (One 1 litre container is recommended).

If you need to cancel a class, it is possible to get a refund (less the service fee) up to 7 days before the date of the event via your universe.com account. A credit note may be issued for cancellations received by email (admin@stratfordchef.com) a minimum of 48 hours before the event.

Please note that there are no credit notes or refunds for missed classes or classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the event.

* All Open Kitchen classes purchased online or by credit card are subject to a 5% service fee. Our ticketing service hosted by universe.com includes this fee in the total listed price.

Avon Boat Rentals

Paddleboat not for you, then how about a canoe?  
Canoes have been on the river for over 135 years - why not see why with a quiet paddle down the Avon River?  
More adventurous than a paddleboat or a canoe, why not then try one of our kayaks?

Silent Films

Night Music, a special musical performance series at the Festival Theatre. Performances include: Music in Common with Maev Beaty on Monday, July 8. Some artists fight to push their art forward while others bask in the music of a fondly remembered past. Special guest Maev Beaty joins Derek Conrod (French horn), Heather Morrison (piano) and Peter Shackleton (clarinet) to explore how artists over the centuries confronted boundaries through words and music. Deal With the Devil on Monday, July 22. Stravinsky, best known for his groundbreaking orchestral works, composed L’histoire du Soldat (The Soldier’s Tale) as a small theatre chamber piece. Based on a Russian folk tale, it’s the story of a soldier who trades his violin to the devil for untold riches. Scott Wentworth joins Festival musicians as narrator of this masterpiece.  Larry’s Jazz Guys on Monday, July 29. Trumpeter Larry Larson and his Guys offer the closest thing to having a private concert in your own home. Sit back, relax and enjoy their tasty mix of classics old and new!  Why We Tell the Story: A Celebration of Black Musical Theatre on Monday August 12th. Marcus Nance, Alexis Gordon and Vanessa Sears perform songs from the African-American musical-theatre canon. With special guest Robert Markus.  Canadian Classics with Dayna Manning on Monday August 19th. Canadian singer-songwriter Dayna Manning presents the never-ending story of song through original works and Canadian classics.
