The Neverending Story
FIND YOURSELF IN A WORLD OF FANTASY
Hiding in a closet to avoid school bullies, ten-year-old Bastian becomes immersed in a strangely compelling book: the tale of a hero’s quest to save the realm of Fantastica from the encroaching terror of the Nothing. But is Bastian just a reader of this extraordinary story – or a vital part of it?
David Goldbloom and Friends: In Conversation with Wade Davis
In a series of candid conversations among old friends, former Chair of the Stratford Festival Board of Governors and Senior Medical Advisor of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health David Goldbloom sits down with some leading advocates of our time to discuss their work and their lives, and maybe to reminisce a little about their university years.
In Conversation with Wade Davis is today's conversation. Wade Davis is an award-winning ethnographer, writer, photographer and filmmaker. A native of British Columbia, Mr. Davis is an Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society and was named by the NGS as one of the Explorers for the Millennium. He has been described as "a rare combination of scientist, scholar, poet and passionate defender of all of life’s diversity.” He has authored over a dozen books about exploring our world since 1986, hosted a documentary series, and lectured around the globe, including at many of the leading English-speaking universities, as well as delivering the Massey Lectures. He and David were in Grade Six together in addition to being classmates as undergraduates.
