The Middle East: Perspectives on Solutions for Peace

The nightly news is often ablaze with the violent clashes and noisy protests of the Middle East, making it difficult to see the hard work happening behind the headlines to foster a solution in Israel that accommodates all parties. A panel of Arab and Muslim Canadians discusses the Palestinian perspective and Canadian organizations’ efforts to promote peace.

Open Kitchen | Get Cooking! | Best Brunch

 

The weekend and brunch go hand in hand. Learn how to make a multi-course menu highlighting seasonal ingredients that will take brunch to a whole new leve with instructor Eli Silverthornel! After the cooking is complete, take off your apron and savour the results of your labour with a modern take on a traditional brunch cocktail. A great way to start a social Saturday before taking in a show or day-tripping to local farmers’ markets. Perfect for brunch lovers everywhere!

Safety regulations require students wear closed toe shoes when participating in any cooking class.

This class has a maximum capacity of 16 students.

Classes are for students 16 years and older.

Participants will be provided with an apron and all necessary tools and equipment.

Menus, recipes and instructors are subject to change as required.

Help us help the environment! In the off chance we cook too much, please bring a container with you to help take home any leftovers. (One 1 litre container is recommended).

If you need to cancel a class, it is possible to get a refund (less the service fee) up to 7 days before the date of the event via your universe.com account. A credit note may be issued for cancellations received by email (admin@stratfordchef.com) a minimum of 48 hours before the event.

Please note that there are no credit notes or refunds for missed classes or classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the event.

Family Concerts: A Celebration of Songs from Favourite Family Films

When you and your family don’t want the spell of the matinée you’ve just seen to vanish quite so quickly, “be our guest” and enjoy 45 minutes of beloved songs performed by a quartet of charming musical artists, familiar to Stratford audiences. Let the younger ones lounge on comfy cushions and enter “a whole new world” while music takes them from the Avon Theatre to “under the sea” and teaches everyone to “hakuna matata.” By the end, the child in all of us will be ready to “let it go” and bring a lovely Stratford afternoon to a close!

Summer Exhibition at Agora Gallery
